Applications
Maritime
Used as a self-levelling compound
on ships to replace traditional cement based systems. The product will
increase buoyancy by 30% and will increase the payload of a ship.
Bridge Repair (Forth Rail Bridge)
Older cast Iron bridges suffer
from rainwater collecting within the structure. These puddles then create
ideal conditions for corrosion. Nano-lite has been used to fill these
“puddle” areas so the rainwater runs off naturally and does not puddle. This
in turn reduces corrosion hot spots. As the product is light weight the
superstructure does not have to be re-enforced. Traditional screed type
fillers are very heavy and can result in the superstructure requiring
re-enforcement.
Light Weight Insulating Medium
This light
weight filler has good thermal insulating properties compared to traditional
concrete mortars and self-leveling screeds.
