The phenomenon of C.U.I. costs the industry billions of dollars
annually in preventive and emergency maintenance costs. Current solutions
such as Thermal Metal spray and inspection and re-lagging are often too
expensive, unreliable or too dangerous to undertake in a process environment.
Chemco has been working on a number of solutions to this problem and
we have developed a range of corrosion resistant coatings that have thermal
insulation properties.
This product range is applied directly to process equipment to provide
a chemically resistant continuous single-phase thermal insulation coating.
By providing this one-phase cost-effective solution, the corrosion
problems associated with traditional lagging based multi-phased solutions are
solved.
The single phased nature of this solution prevents condensation, leaks
and sweating process equipment creating a corrosion cell – the primary cause
of C.U.I.
The chemically resistant thermal insulation product not only provides
the required insulation but also protects the process equipment from
corrosive environments.
The product range is easily applied, repaired and quickly inspected so
that the integrity of the process system can be easily monitored and
maintained cost-effectively.
Compatible with other insulation medium (rubber compounds) .
Therma-cote™ can be used to patch repair other insulation medium that has
been cut to provide inspection portals required for Integrity Management programs.
