Test Results For Wet Substrates
In order to
show how well RL 500 PF and
RS 500 P will work on poorly prepared
wet and sweating substrates as a cost effective one coat product were
commissioned to measure long term corrosion resistance.
The Network
Rail tests for certification were also duplicated for both
RL 500 PF and
RS 500 P for wet substrates and tested
for corrosion resistance under the same testing protocol.
The results very similar showing that
both products can be used on wet, saturated and surfaces covered in puddles
of water. There was a detrimental effect on the appearance of the final
films which is a direct result of the presence of water. However this did
not have an effect on the coating performance.
